Talbot Street was established in the 1890’s making one of the first streets in Ocean City. The church next door “The Star of the Sea” is the first church in Ocean City. Check out “Vanishing Ocean City” by Buck Mann, a well-known life long resident of Ocean City for some great history of our lovely town. Your vacation town now too!
The best part of Ocean City is the beach and water sports. You are just steps away from one of the best beaches in North America and many other great attractions. Let’s start with the Boardwalk and beach, you are just one block away if you turn right as you exit our property. There’s still more to enjoy, if you go left as when you exit the property you are about two blocks from some great restaurants and water sport activities on the bay. M.R. Ducks has a daily deck party, and The Angler has oversized Jenga to entertain. Located between the two restaurants you can sign up for dinner cruises, Sea Doo rentals and more!
Please be careful when crossing the streets and obey traffic signals. If there is no signal at the cross walk pedestrians have right of way, but be sure the driver sees you before stepping out! Safety first of course.
Coming soon will be a map of local places we enjoy, Mike’s Beach Bikes & Brews for the guys and Sandy’s Sip & Shop Tour for the ladies.
Until our map is done here are a couple of our favorites:
Breakfast – The Talbot Street Café - to the right as you leave but before boardwalk. Sandy’s favorite is the bacon egg and cheddar cheese croissants with handcrafted coffee drinks.
Lunch time – Piezano’s Pizza Shop on the boardwalk is a must, make a right at Fisher’s Popcorn stand. When we were working on house we always worked up an appetite, a visit to Piezano’s for great pizza and a salad was out go to spot. If you can sit at the counter, check out how they make the pizza, take special notice of the machine for putting sauce on the pies!
Snack time – who doesn’t love snacks at the beach! A short trip up and down the Boardwalk will provide you will all kinds of Ocean City’s famous treats. Fisher’s Popcorn, Thrashers Fries, Dumpser’s ice cream and hot dogs at Pollock Johnny’s, while waiting for your dog(s) check out Johnny’s story.
Dinner – You can find great seafood at Harrison's Harbor Watch. Dress is causal. They are located at the In-Let by the Life Guard Museum.
Another place north that you might want to try as well: Mother’s Cantina - best tacos in town!
What to do in the morning before the beach… hum… well shopping, bike riding and skateboarding on all Boardwalk approved fun!

Wanna get your skate look on, check out Jamie’s gear at Gnarly and her great skateboards. Biking or skateboarding is welcome on the Boardwalk until 11:00 am.
If you’re feeling the call of the waves, then a trip to 9th St. to see Lee at Malibu’s is a must do! Its your ticket to ride the waves. You can take lessons from official beach boys or just dress like one. Either way this is the friendliest surf shop on the “boards” a definite stop while in Ocean City.

The beach is what it’s all about in Ocean City the sun, the surf and sand. Remember to take your suntan lotion with you apply as soon as you get there. The sun is very strong this time of year even on cloudy days and a sunburn can be very uncomfortable. Should you get a burn, sunburn relief products can be purchased on the boardwalk. There is a hose next to back porch for your convince, to rinse sand off feet and other items as needed.
Thank you in advance, we appreciate you keeping as much sand as possible on the outside!
